Hello Readers,
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce got engaged. It’s big news for young people, sports and entertainment fans. I have noticed one difference between Swift and Kelce. Taylor Swift is open-minded and is always in a new form of dress, while Kelce rarely gets dressed up fancy.
Washington D.C.’s police department and security responsibilities has been taken over by the National Guard and Jeanine Pirro, US attorney for the District of Columbia under the guidance of President Donald Trump. Yes, crime went down in the past 12 days. However, he then called for removal of all 12 judges of the district who stopped Trump’s deportation plan. Yes, Trump’s decision about Washington DC makes him come off like a dictator…not good. Still, the problem of undocumented immigrants is a huge problem and if not solved, the future of America is not good in my opinion. It has to be resolved.
When someone is running a business, whatever the business needs, you get it or hire the employees. In the same way, if we need farmers or building contractors or laborers from other countries, we should allow particulars for it to be legally done, with a simple form and process for them to come to the USA. Also, they must sign a contract with the US government that if they commit a crime, they will be charged within the US system.
They may not be well educated especially in English, where they should be allowed forms available in their language. So, we get the right people for our needs, and they get legal employment. As soon as they become legal, we get tax revenue, rather than cash money transactions by two individuals or parties.
A federal Judge in Washington DC threw out Trump’s case for an arrest of a black man outside Trader Joe’s for finding an illegal gun in his backpack. Officers asked the individual, a high school student, if he carried an illegal firearm. He denied it, and when the officer followed him into Trader Joe’s, he found that he was carrying two illegal firearms. The federal judge threw the case away, stating that it was an illegal search of an individual. In my opinion, when an illegal gun has been found, the student must be charged and the case should go to a court of law. That is the only way we can control gun violence.
After a huge protest and outrage, Cracker Barrel announced that it would go back to its old logo. The company rolled out a new one, which was bland and did not have a man in the background. It is good that the company listened to its customers. It is amazing how powerful something like a design can be. Cracker Barrel’s stock dropped significantly because of the reaction.
