Hello Readers,
Christmas and New Year’s Day are right around the corner. People are very cautious about spending money. But obviously, they want to celebrate Christmas, so they spend some money, but very cautiously. The cost of goods, including groceries, is higher and everyone has to watch what they are spending at this time.
The Bondi Beach massacre saw 15 people killed and many more injured and in critical condition. Sajid Akram, 50, was one of the shooters who died at the scene. Sajid and his son Naveed Akram, 24, had shot Jews at a Hanukkah gathering on Dec. 14. Both came from India in 1998 and visited India six times since moving to Australia in 1998. They have not mentioned or expressed an anti-racial mindset of theirs. However, several people including one child lost their lives.
India Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “sincere condolences to the families who lost their loved ones…zero tolerance towards terrorism.” One of those taken to the hospital was another immigrant who bravely wrestled the gun away from one of the shooters.
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese also strongly condemned the Bondi Beach massacre, calling it an “act of antisemitic terrorism” and “evil.” Many more world leaders condemned the act of terrorism.
How to control this kind of act is a problem for all the leaders in the world. If someone is writing about doing something bad on social media or is telling their friends and family, there is a chance that the police and the intelligence agencies can stop it. If someone has any idea about committing a massacre or heard about someone’s crazy idea, please contact your nearest police department or intelligence agencies.
At the end of this month, the Affordable Care Act, which helps millions of people for their health benefits, will expire. House Speaker Mike Johnson refused to call a vote for an extension of ACA. On the other side, Democrats rejected a plan from Republicans to send the money straight to the people instead of the insurance companies.
This will impact millions of people, as the majority are hardworking people. Tariffs have impacted the local market already. It is harder to make ends meet. Out of 195 recognized countries in the world, about 78 countries pay for medical expenses. Those countries pay in full or significantly for those expenses. The main countries with “universal healthcare” are UK, Canada, Japan, Germany and France.
White House announced that they would restrict undocumented and illegal immigrants from entering the US. Also, the government must do something about those entering legally. For the future of America stopping undocumented immigrants is necessary. However, if necessary, adding the right people should be considered.
Have a wonderful week. I’ll talk to you next week.
