Over the past two weeks, over a thousand union members showed their unity in supporting Democratic nominee Mikie Sherrill’s bid for New Jersey governor.
“Mikie Sherrill is an ally and friend to our labor movement,” said NJ State AFL-CIO President Charles Wowkanech. “She has a 100% AFL-CIO voting record and has proven her commitment to protecting our rights as union members, our healthcare, and our pensions,”
Wowkanech concluded. “Our union volunteers are going door-to-door, speaking to their fellow brothers and sisters to make sure they know that Mikie Sherrill has their backs.”
Among those showing their support are: LiUNA, Workers United, SMART, AFT, CWA, OPEIU, IUOE, RWDSU, AFSCME, NATCA, IBEW, UA, SEIU, UFCW, UWUA. Also showing his support was retired Assemblyman Thomas Giblin.
