It is beginning to feel a lot like Christmas. This weekend, I had the honor of attending two Christmas giveaways. On Saturday, while Mr. Bill, aka “Always Sharp,” and I were in our Change Demonstration and Content Development build for the Build Our Own Stock Photography Project, we had the pleasure of meeting several amazing folks. One of those people was Ahmad Ali, a participant in one of our infamous Instant Muse concepts.
We were on location on Central Ave. in Newark, in front of an amazing mural that was being installed at the moment. Do your research and find out the name of the artist. An amazing go see, by the way. After our micro shoot, he gave us an invite to their toy giveaway.
When we arrived, we met an amazing author named Dorien D. Forbes, who just happened to be parked in front of us. We chatted for a bit, then went inside and mingled with the attendees. I decided to freeze the moment by taking advantage of the awesome backdrop and photo setup. We also had the opportunity to meet an amazing reindeer, our second Instant Muse, spreading Christmas cheer throughout the decked out hall.
Later that evening, I attended the other toy giveaway hosted by my neighbor friend Roxanna’s daughter. I’d missed Santa, so I’d been told, but did meet a few of his elves, including the host and owner of Secrets To Plush. Unfortunately, I also missed sipping hot chocolate and enjoying a book being read by little Miss Pretty Montana Monroe, but I was granted a private read. Lucky me.
The studio had been stockpiled with presents which will continue to be distributed to the community freely until the last is given. So there are and were many presents and many had been present. Truthfully, what’s seemingly even more honorable than the gift of giving is the PRESENT OF PRESENCE.
