Silent Agreements
The ball has dropped, and 2026 has showed up as expected. But we all know it’s quite likely it won’t be parading itself around this year the way we’d wish. Certainly, this New Year will be what we hoped for sometimes, in some ways, and just as likely it won’t.
No resolutions this year. As usual, a couple things have been mulling around my head. Some things I’m gonna do, and some thangs I’m not. No need for the formalities of a rev up. I abandoned those many years ago. So, 2026, come as you may.
I did have a chit chat with the big Kahuna on the Eve. I asked Daddy God to guide and direct my path as I stroll down 2026 in this lane. Eyes downcast, head dropped, I twixt between the hopefully and the faithfully known. Afterwards, I asked 2026 to mind its manners. Still, I pray that it do.
The images of my Muse captured here, which are all part of my Fine Artistry Replicated Series usher us into the year, giving us a few things to mull over as we walk deeper into it. Each image triggers a one word response about what I should or should not be doing. I started to include a word or two, then decided this puzzle should be customizable. So give your one word response, or shake it up and remix as you’d like.
The choice is yours just like what you do or don’t do this year. Happy 2026, people.

DID YOU KNOW
AI says that…You should make New Year’s resolutions if you use them as a catalyst for positive change, leveraging the “fresh start effect,” but experts suggest ditching traditional, vague, or extreme resolutions for small, specific, and sustainable habit-building strategies, focusing on gradual progress, enjoying the process, and getting support, rather than expecting instant transformation. The key is to reframe goals from rigid demands to experimental journeys for long-term growth.
