THE OBSERVATION BOOTH

OP / ED & PHOTO CREDITS ANDREA DIALECT

PICTURE THAT

Hey you. This isn’t just a popularity vote. It’s a mirror – and an invitation to look closer at us. It’s all HOOD.

The images you see here are part of my ongoing project, Replicated – a living testament of what’s been happening since forever: Mocha’s essence being borrowed, lifted, remixed, and copied. And if it was prevalent before, it’s even more so now in the age of AI and as always with no identify markers. So let this gallery be proof as so a reminder:

First, we were first. Not just what you seeing but who we were and what we are present moment. Our spirit not just image but the essence. Our creativity is massive and powerfully ours. That’s what essentials and remixed trends are often made of. Our value is not optional. Not at all!

Each print is part of my ongoing exhibit series that I call Gallery Crawling Exhibited. Different styles. Different muses. Different decisions. Your role isn’t to scroll past it it’s to sit with it, compare it, and choose what truly resonates deeply.

And let’s keep it simple like Who dat? Who becomes the main subject in your mind’s eye and why?

I hope you’re not only amused by my muse, but moved by their selfless generosity. Because their image supports our rise and maintain the truth be told conversation as should, and yes – scrutiny is always welcome. Because we need that.

So when you vote, don’t just pick what you like. Pick what’s necessary.

The Who which is being revealed here? Who Dat? Why does this image hit you right now? What feels deliberate – and what feels unfinished? Who do you see before you even see the picture ? Why does this one stay to you for us? Help us help us. Support our rise.

DID YOU KNOW….

We can look at the information that the image itself supplies. We can also look at the context in which the image was made, and the context in which it is seen. This allows us to view such images as complex assemblages of information that we need to interpret.
