Hello Readers,

The U.S. Presidential Election is about three weeks away, and both candidates are almost tied in the polls. The Democrats and the Republicans are not budging in their opinion polls. However, we all should think about the country. Who can help the country?

The USA has the highest GDP (Gross Domestic Product) of 29. In 2023, USA lead the world with $26.95 Billion followed by China with 17.78 Billion. This is followed by Germany, Japan, India, United Kingdom, France Italy, Brazil and Canada. The United States is leading in the world with $80,041 per capita followed by Canada with $53,250.

That is the reason the upcoming election on November 5, 2024 is a crucial election. We have power of money, power of ammunition and power of technology, but the wrong leader can ruin that power. To lead the world, we need a leader who can understand the problems of the world, but without interfering to solve the problems.

Kamala Harris is leading in the popular vote; however, she is tied in the battleground states according to some polls. However, the polls are so close that no one can clearly state who will win the election. Trump is leading in some polls, but there is an error margin of 3 to 5 percent, and none of the polls are outside of that margin.

President Trump announced that he will hold a rally at Madison Square Garden. On the surface, he would not really stand a chance to flip New York into voting for a Republican President. However, with the mounting frustration due to migrants, the turmoil of Mayor Eric Adams and his administration, and the disapproval rating of NY Governor Kathy Hochul, he has a little chance. Also, even if he does not win New York, his presence could flip a House seat or two, which is important because if he becomes President again, it would be best to have the House and Senate under GOP control to streamline his agenda.

So, I appeal to every US citizen to not miss voting in this election. Every vote counts. One might think that with millions of votes, one vote might not have any value. However, each drop of water can fill a bucket of voter. Each vote combined with thousands will make a difference. If everyone thinks that their votes do not count, how can it be millions of votes cast. The 2000 Presidential Election was decided by less than 600 votes in Florida. The 2020 Presidential Election saw several states with less than 20,000 votes separating the candidates. If we are all united, we can pick the right person to lead us and our country. The choice is yours, but please do not miss voting.

As I’ve heard, a group of people in Orange, New Jersey applied for a recalling councilperson Jamie Summers-Johnson. They applied for it on September 27, which was amended with the right spelling on October 3rd. They are also in the process of attempting to recall councilpersons Kerry Coley and Tency Eason as well.

From what I’ve heard, the township clerk must reply within 3 business days and include it in the council meeting agenda. I don’t know if Ms. Joyce Lanier included it in the agenda or not, but she has not replied to the committee yet. City clerks are supposed to be neutral. However, when a clerk shows favoritism, the citizens of the town get affected. We live in a democracy, and when the people want something to be done, it must be done for the benefit of the people.

Have a wonderful week. I’ll talk to you next week.
