Hello Readers,

Former New York Congressman George Santos has been expelled from the House due to ethics violations. Even after being exposed to the public, Santos keeps on saying that he is not guilty. He was expelled with the vote of 311 to 114 and he became the sixth lawmaker to be kicked out. Additionally, he faces numerous criminal and civil charges.

The problem for distributing affordable housing is still in question. Asking for credit scores over 640 and more than two months of deposits is the problem. Does anyone under the administration want to change gentrification? Do they want to make more affluent city, and forget about the people who supported the city throughout their life?

Larry Hamm is running to contest against former congressman and New Jersey senior senator Robert Menendez in the democratic primary election. Hamm started his People’s Organization for Progress before the inception of Local Talk Newspaper. Robert Menendez has been indicted for “accepted hundreds of thousands of dollars of bribes from Hana, Uribe, and Daibes in exchange for Menendez’s agreement to use his official position to protect and enrich them and to benefit the Government of Egypt.”

Should there be any support for Menendez? He has been accused on different charges three times. Should we make a change at Democrat or elect a Republican candidate? I think we must see which is the best candidate for the job, not taking favoritism to the party in my opinion.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) said on Dec. 5 that he will allow the start of a Biden impeachment inquiry vote. If passed with a simple majority, the inquiry commission has the right to pursue it further and cannot be challenged in the court of law for the purpose of inquiry. As per my understanding, the commission will have the authority to subpoena President Biden, Hunter Biden and Joseph Biden’s brother Francis Biden.

The Biden administration has argued an impeachment inquiry without a vote is unconstitutional. Republicans have countered that stance even as they hope a formal vote will compel more testimony. The GOP and the White House have disagreed on the Biden administration’s compliance with requests.

A huge threat came after pneumonia quickly spread in China. As per the reports, these are not Covid cases, but they still have to find out more about this virus and how to stop it. There are 7,000 cases of children with Pneumonia. The hospitals are filled with cases, including adults. Some states in India, a country next to China, have started preparing to protect people if it spreads across the border India.

From China, there were about 48 flights weekly in May of this year. The US agreed to raise the number of flights to 70 a week. The Biden administration must watch the spreading of this virus very carefully and if necessary, stop flights from there all together if WHO (the World Health Organization) agrees.

Have a wonderful week. I’ll talk to you next week.
