This past Saturday featured a great day of sports in the community. The Ivy Hill Soccer Club played the Newark School of Global Studies in a close game that ended score 5 to 4 with Global Studies winning.
This is the first year that youth soccer was played in Ivy Hill Park on the new Essex County Soccer and Football field. The Soccer program is a part of the Ivy Hill Sports Federation, which has Baseball, Football, and now Soccer.
Hats off to Head Coach Hugo Pierre, Coach Andy Grant, and Coach KoJo Ekowmensa.
On Sunday, the Ivy Hill Northwest Broncos 13 U was in an afternoon football playoff game against Edison. The Edison squad proved to be too much for the Broncos and won 34-7.
