NEWARK – Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé reports that a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Deidre Moses, 28, of Bloomfield, in connection with a shooting that occurred on Thursday, August 24, 2023.

At approximately 1:30 a.m., Police responded to the 40s block of North 4th Street on a call of a shooting. Responding officers located a man who had been shot while inside a residence after suspects fired at the home from the outside. Before the shooting occurred, the victim heard an altercation outside the residence involving individuals vandalizing a vehicle parked in the area. The suspects fired a weapon, striking the home and injuring the man. The victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment and reportedly remains in critical condition.

Detectives investigating this incident have identified Deidre Moses as a suspect in this shooting and obtained a warrant for her arrest. She is described as 5’5” tall and 120 pounds with a tattoo on her chest of the word “Ram.”
