The first annual Gods Grip Basketball Tournament was held for the first time in Orange. It was held at Lincoln Avenue School this past weekend, and Orange resident and former all state basketball star Bellva May was a big part of this tournament.

In each of the games, it was broken up into divisions. There was a total of 13 teams that took part in this event that was well attended by parents and youth community members.

For the 10-12 years old age bracket, there was Team God’s Grip, Team US, Team Elite, Team Stars, and Team Triple Threat. Team US won the bracket.

For the 13-15 years old bracket, there was Team US 1, Team US 2, Team MC Crew, Team LLJJ Elite, and Team Tornadoes, with the latter emerging as champions.

The 16-18 years old division consisted of Team God’s Grip, Team US, Team Prime Time, Team BMW, Team Trust God, Team Space Jam, Team Bethel Baptist, and Team L.B.L Hoops. Prime Time, the latter being the winner of the bracket. and it was team prime that captured the championship in the 16-18 age bracket.
