The 11th Annual Pink Ribbon Tea took place at Galloping Hill Caterers in Union, NJ on June 17, 2023. The purpose is to educate and celebrate, this time with guest speaker Dr. Susan E. Pories, MD, a Professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of Surgical Oncology, and section of Breast Surgery at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. A few other speakers elaborated on their experiences with breast cancer at Beth Israel Hospital and Rutgers Medical School.

Every year we get together and are inspired by our guest speakers to honor our survivors of breast cancer and our caregivers. Black women are impacted the most by breast cancer. So, we are trying to educate the people of our community, which includes men and women. We urge people to read about it and to have yearly screenings by having a mammogram. Early detections help save lives.
