THE GREATER NEWARK WOMEN’S ASSEMBLY, MARCH 4TH, AND 5TH

THANK YOU!

As March is recognized Nationally as Women’s History Month, the Women of greater Newark took time not to be passive or sit idly by, but were proactive to pursue the need to recognize publicly the Women who have made, and are making a difference in our society.

The Greater Newark Women’s Assembly, held March 4th and 5th at Newark Public Main Library and CityPlex12 Newark, was a special experience and exercise in investing in the welfare of our community.

The Assembly’s focus was to honor, spotlight and promote the great treasure of gifts, talents and abilities that exist in our society, through the Women of our community, bringing Women together from all experience, faiths and background and letting love have its perfect work.

The Assembly team wants to thank all who planned, served, and participated, making the Assembly possible. It was truly a community event where everyone brought and shared their best. Special applause goes to our planning team, the library staff and CityPlex 12 for their great support, including We Care, Inc., Newark Arts and Local Talk News, all the presenters, vendors, musicians, catering and most importantly the honorees and guest attendees made it an extraordinary and unique gathering.

Amazing things happen when we come together for the benefit of each other, for purpose and for the betterment of community. The Women of Greater Newark are its greatest asset. Time must be taken to notice, to pay attention to who we are, what we do, and what we need, individually and collectively. We need each other to fulfil what we are gifted to do and be, to grow our ability and what is in our collective best interest.

Using a metaphor; the enthusiasm, the topic content, and the public interest to attend for the Women’s Assembly was like a size 14-16 trying to fit in a size 10-12 dress. We were busting at the seams, which is due to the apparent pregnancy of the Assembly. When you bring Women of purpose and destiny together teaming with hope, competency, and desire to achieve, more room must be made to anticipate and accommodate the present ability and new expected growth.

The Greater Newark Women’s Assembly planning team thank all who helped and were in attendance, who witness this sincere effort to plant some new seeds, for a greater harvest, nurtured through love, recognition, and honor for the Women of Greater Newark.
