Hello Readers,

Should I keep headlines like this in our newspaper? _____________ Mass Shooting at ___________ Past Week and Past Weekend.

It seems horrible, but the way shootings are going on, we may have to keep the headlines ready in the news. A Chicago suburb, Highland Park, had a shooting – 7 persons dead, including a grandfather. It was a peaceful 4th of July parade, but 21 year old Robert “Bobby” Crimo III opened fire and injured dozens more.

Lately, more and more young people are using guns, maybe for their fantasy to be popular, maybe their bad childhood, maybe their bad company, maybe their angry nature. But the bottom line is that people are getting killed more than ever before in mass shootings. I do not blame the police or the administrations, wherever the incidents happening. Right now, the question is to find a solution. If someone has an idea of a solution, please write to us at localtalknews@gmail.com. We will try our best to pass it on to the right authorities.

Sad and outrageous news out of San Francisco. An older couple living at their home for about 36 years, parked their car in their driveway that whole time. All of a sudden, they started getting parking tickets and fined over $1,500.00 for parking in their own driveway. The city has a law that by a certain distance (some NJ towns have it at 4 feet) you cannot park your car, because even though it is your property, the township has a right to utilize that part of the property to cut down trees, maintain electrical and telephone wires and much more.

However, when someone has been living at that property for 36 years, it is under grandfathered rights. In this case, our Content Editor Kristopher Seals said that maybe the city wants to acquire the property by forcing them to leave because of such a harassing law. With parking so scarce, it may be impossible for them.

The court says they can live there, but they cannot park the vehicle in the driveway, because it doesn’t have a garage or cover. If the city wants to make such a case for this, then they should allot the owners the money to make the alteration needed. It is not the fault of the property owner that they decided to enforce this law now, so the city should pay for it.

In a similar situation, someone may complain about someone blocking their own driveway. It is legal, but when there is no street parking between certain hours, blocking the driveway is also blocking the street. If that is the case, then I think the city would be right in such a situation. However, San Francisco is wrong in this case, in my opinion, and it just seems petty.

I have one complaint against all our elected officials. Google, Twitter, WhatsApp, QuickBooks and many more are placing their Ads or messages every single time we go on. Especially when we go on any accounts, they ask you to save your password. Once you make a mistake says yes, they got you. Even though they claim it might be safe, you are under their control. It is your right to choose if you want to allow them in or not. Whenever they place these kinds of message or Ads, they must have an option for you: I don’t want it and do not place your message or Ad again. This is the duty of our representatives to stop them. If they are billionaires, it doesn’t matter, but people should be protected for their rights.

Have a wonderful week. I’ll talk to you next week.
