The Stanley Cup Playoffs have taken a tough turn this past Sunday when the New York Rangers were defeated by the Tampa Bay Lightning in Games 3 and 4 of the Eastern Finals, tying things at 2-2. Despite that, the Rangers still have home ice advantage.
As for the NBA Finals, that series is tied 1-1 after the Golden State Warriors defeated the Boston Celtics 107-88. Although Jayson Tatum bounced back for the Cs with 28 points and 6 rebounds and Jaylen Brown added 17 points and 6 rebounds, it was no match for the Warriors in Game 2. The action now shifts to Boston for the next two games.
In Major League Baseball, the New York Yankees and Mets are both doing well this season. Both teams are in first place in their respective divisions. One of the teams the Mets are ahead of is the Philadelphia Phillies, who recently fired manager Joe Girardi due to their struggles.
Finally, in the United States Football League, the New Jersey Generals are performing admirably, standing in first place in the North Division at 7-1 so far this season. Despite being the “New Jersey” Generals, all USFL games this season are being played in Birmingham, Alabama.
