Hello Readers,
Mass Shootings: What a difference in management: Mass shootings excluding Organized Crime and Drug related shootings were: Under Obama: 2013 – 8 mass shootings and 45 dead; 2014 – 6 mass shootings and 28 dead; 2015 – 13 mass shootings and 80 dead; 2016 – 14 mass shootings and 112 dead; Under Trump: 2017 – 22 mass shootings and 168 dead; 2018 – 19 mass shootings and 102 dead; 2019 – 18 mass shootings and 102 dead, 2020 – 8 mass shootings and 25 dead. Under Biden: 2021 – 13 mass shootings 74 dead, 2022 until June 5th – 345 mass shootings and 320 dead.
This past weekend, shootings happened at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Chattanooga, Tennessee, Phoenix, Arizona, Mesa, Arizona, Omaha, Nebraska, Chesterfield, Virginia, Macon, Georgia, Saginaw, Michigan, Socorro, Texas, Summerton, South Carolina. However, our President Biden is too busy managing world politics and wars in the world: Ukraine, Vietnam, South Korea and many other countries. He is ready to help the world with money and weapons. More war means more advanced chemical and high-tech weapons business in the future. Every day, about 60 to 100 soldiers are killed in Ukraine. It is a prestige issue for Biden and America to make Ukraine a member of NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization).
Mr. Biden, please concentrate on the American economy and American people. In the history of the U.S. the highest gas prices before 2021 were in 2008, with an average at $4.114. Today, the national gas price average is $4.545. They are predicting that gas prices can go as high as $6.00 per gallon. In New Jersey the average gas prices are $4.985. At the same time, the inflation rate is at the highest level, 8.3% since the past 41 years. Due to the high inflation rate, the US Central Bank has raised the federal funds interest rate by .25% in March 2022 and .50% on May 4, 2022. Now the federal reserve fund rates are between .75% to 1% to reduce the growing inflation rate. Federal Reserve Chairman Powell said that this rate will reduce the inflation rate to 4.5%. The expected inflation rate was 2% and we will see additional rate hikes by Powell in the near future. A rate hike will control inflation. If the outcome is deflation (a recession), it will impact the US economy and the people as well.
Our Democratic Senators and Congresspersons are too busy supporting the Democratic agenda, whether good or bad and opposing suggestions by Republicans, regardless of if those are good or bad. We are electing them to represent the people, but they are busy in politics and showing only a little help here and there. The republicans are the same way. There is division between the two parties, as both walk in a different direction. I don’t think either side cares about the people much, except showing that they are doing something.
The primary party elections came on June 7th while the Newark Runoff elections will be on June 14th. Newark and Orange are non-partisan elections, which means no one should be affiliated with any party or group and should not campaign with a party group or individual affiliation. Each candidate has different capacity. But one thing you must judge about any candidate, is whether or not they are telling the truth, if they really feel like helping the people, if they know how to stand up to their colleagues in case of a difference of opinion. and most importantly, if the person is acting to help the people.
Have a wonderful week. I’ll talk to you next week.
