I have been living in United States since past 43 years. I have seen some snowstorm, one in 1982 about 20 inches snow, one in 1997 about the same 20 inches snow. But this time it is about 30” snow in the northwest New Jersey. 1996 there was a worst snowstorm in New England with about 48”. However, the snow melted fast as the weather was good enough (70 Fahrenheit) within couple of days. This time the weather forecast is not in our favor. For the next 10 days it does not show warmer weather.
As I am stuck in my house and working from the house, I do not have any news about how the Cities, townships and Essex County have cleaned the main roads and internal streets?
Last week we have published the story about Ahmed Screven suing the Township of Irvington, NJ. Ahmed Screven has been appointed by Mayor Tony Vauss as a chief of public defendant. When I called Mayor Vauss about his statement for the case. Vauss stated that he is not aware of any case like this. He just heard by Local Talk Weekly Newspaper on the front-page story. He called the police department/director and he said that even police department/director was not aware of it. I called Screven and he said that he has filed case in November 2020 to the Internal Affairs Division. Does internal affairs division is discharging their duties or just another political appointee?
When Local Talk Weekly launched in November 1, 2000, the community was different. Orange has a better close community than today. East Orange has a better crime control than 2000. Newark has a little better crime control than today, but as good of a community. Irvington was better off in 2000 than now. Maplewood/ South Orange, West Orange, Montclair/ Glenridge, Belleville remains the same.
Marjorie Taylor Green, R-Ga of her facebook comments in January 2019 for Nancy Pelosi “Bullet to the head” and also previously about Parkland School shooting was a staged forced House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md announced on Wednesday that the house representatives will vote on Thursday to strip Green from House Education and Labor Committee and the Budget Committee. The power of the post makes some people say anything they like. However, that will hound her tomorrow and she will be stripped. The next will be the turn of Illhan Omar, who has used numerous racist statements against Israel. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy about punishing Omar for being critical of Israel.
Also, the impeachment proceedings in the senate on February 9th, 2021 will be interesting as well. Division between the Republicans and the Democrats will continue stories after stories in the coming months and a year.
Please try to vaccinate yourself. There is no guarantee of vaccine that you will not infected by coronavirus, but if you get it, you may not have to go to hospital or go to ICU. This is what I heard from few doctors and that is why I am suggesting to everyone get vaccinated.
