Employees Win Kleinfeld’s Bridal Wedding Gowns, Thanks to a Special Donation
On July 8, eight Newark Beth Israel Medical Center nurses, pharmacists and social workers gathered in the hospital’s lobby to choose a Kleinfeld’s Bridal wedding dress and make their wedding day dreams come true.
The Front Line Appreciation Group (FLAG) of South Orange and Maplewood, New Jersey donated the 18 sample dresses from Kleinfeld’s Bridal – the premiere bridal boutique featured on the show “Say Yes to the Dress” – to the hospital. It is one of many donations that the group has made to the hospital throughout the pandemic.
The dresses arrived in early June and employees began submitting their stories for a chance to win an opportunity to choose a dress.
Winners included a nurse administrator who is getting married for the second time, a pediatric ICU Nurse who is getting married after 10 years and self-quarantined throughout the pandemic to keep her family and fiancée safe; one Neo Natal Intensive Care nurse submitted her daughter for a chance to win, the daughter lost her job in NYC during the pandemic.
