THE I AM WOMAN PROJECT
“Unmasked, we are bold. We are beautiful. We are life bringing, and love tags along. We are woman.” – Andrea Dialect
Today’s draft is one of my pride and joys. The I Am Woman Project is a movement I’ve been quietly shaping, and building one that, even in its earliest stages, already makes my heart smile. And as with much of my work, I’m using the Observation Booth to tweak and develop this project from a more useful, more intentional stance.
But make no mistake: this article draft stands firmly on its own.
The imagery speaks without introduction, without explanation, without lead in chatter. What you see needs no prompting. No coaxing. Imagery speak a language all on its own – unfiltered, uncoached, unmasked. These images belong to a visual series within my traveling exhibit that, in a nutshell, is summed up by two simple words: as those streets would have it. Nuff Said.
The latest feature additions to Andrea Dialect’s traveling exhibit are nothing short of powerful. The women showcased here kicked this movement off by standing with me, offering their presence, their confidence, and their willingness to support my work with their own narratives. Their contribution is not just visual, it’s emotional, spiritual, and communal.
To the women who stepped forward: Thank you.
The I Am Woman Project invites viewers, readers, supporters, and believers to bring their own narratives. Bring your truth. Bring your lived moments. Bring whatever echoes in your soul when you witness another woman standing tall.
Simply:
Come as you are.
Show up in your fullness.
Be who you are. That’s the message
We, us, women will continue to travel with the exhibit as it moves through cities and communities, uplifting stories and spotlighting everyday women whose voices deserve to be honored.
For those who feel called to participate, for curators who wish to collaborate, and for supporters who want to stand with the movement, Come! Because when women show up, the world shifts. Enough said.
