THE OBSERVATION BOOTH

“There’s something magnetic about a person being caught mid-read – eyes locked on pages, minds sparking with new ideas. The importance and the beauty of our stories, our voices, and that which is newsworthy – truths finding their way into each other’s hands.”

READING IS FOR GROWN FOLK

“Get Caught Reading.” Grown people do read, engage, and think. They know that literacy, awareness, and staying rooted in real news in an age of distractions is quite important.

When you see someone with paper in hand, it should spark curiosity: What’s inside? What’s worth reading? Across every background in our town, the paper offers something different to each reader. That’s the beauty of it – it doesn’t just speak to one group. It speaks to us all.

Local Talk is becoming the talk of the town because it is a mirror of community pride and curiosity. Cross-generational and cultural tie-ins make us versatile – something for everyone. From the barbershop to the bus stop, Local Talk is making its rounds.

This week’s snapshots tell that story: people pausing, engaging, and letting their minds soak in Local Talk. It’s more than just a picture. It’s proof. Proof that in a world buzzing with scrolling screens and quick clicks, the newspaper still carries weight. Proof that the voices, stories, and truths of our community matter – and people are paying attention.

This isn’t just a one-off moment. Get caught reading each week.

Keep reading. Keep showing up. Keep talking.
