Hello Readers,
In Cincinnati, five people were charged and arrested when a fight broke out and suspects beat a white couple at a jazz concert. The worst part is that no one has tried to stop the fight or call the police. Only one person called 911, but many were busy taking videos and making it go viral on social media. While social media is an important part of our society, we are forgetting the humanity aspect.
At a Manhattan high rise corporate building, 345 Park Ave., on Monday evening one person entered with an M4 rifle and opened fire, killing four persons including one police officer. The world is going in the wrong direction. The perpetrator, Shane Devon Tamura, died by his own hand.
United Kingdom Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that if Israel does not reach a ceasefire to end the war with Hamas, they would recognize Palestine as a separate state. I think President Trump should do the same, because Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is not budging at all. Mr. President, this is not politics, but a case of humanitarian affairs. When one life in America gets lost, we make it huge, but it is the life of a human. In the same way, one life of a Palestinian lost is a human life as well. We must save lives and leave peacefully and let live peacefully.
The United Nations held a conference in June 2025 to resolve the issues between Israel and Palestine. However, it was postponed but finally held in Paris this past Monday. The event was hosted by France and Saudi Arabia. Ministers gathered at the conference urged the international community to work together and solve the problems between Israel and Palestine.
The tariff trade war continues, but Trump and the US have had a stronger hand with every country in the world. The US is the largest buyer in the world. If they stop importing from any country, that economy will crumble. Trump knows about it. All the pundits predicted that the US markets will crumble, but it has not happened so far. US imports more than it exports. In 2023, US imports were $773.4 billion more than exports. In 2024, the deficit increased to $918.4 billion. This was a continuing trend for many decades. So, we must take some steps. I don’t know how much Trump raising tariffs will impact higher prices of goods for Americans. But we must do something about the uneven trade balance. Still, Trump’s $5 trillion budget deficit is outrageous. He and his administration must do something about this.
