On June 8th, Local 108 and Essex County once again partnered to vaccinate the community against COVID-19.

On this occasion, the African American Heritage Parade Organization lent their support to make sure that the event was a success. After the excellent results at their May 11th event, more people from the community in need of vaccination came out as well. Their initial goal was to vaccinate 50 persons. However, with people returning to receive their second Moderna dose, the total number of persons who got vaccinated was between 70 to 80 persons, including new arrivals.

The next vaccination opportunity will be on June 28th at 1576 Springfield Avenue, Maplewood, NJ 07040. This time, young people between 12 and 15 can attend and receive their vaccination FREE of CHARGE. Please call to make an appointment at 973-762-7224 or 973-985-4789.
