The Iran War is still going on. The US supported Israel to start the war. Now, Israel does not want to listen to the US. So, it seems like Israel is using the US for the war.
Who has benefited from the war? Israel. Israel has a permanent threat from Lebanon, the Gaza strip of Palestine and Iran. They have convinced US President Trump to start the war or attack on Iran. The most dangerous person in Iran, Ayatollah Khomeini, was killed. But Iran started disrupting the Strait of Hormuz, stopping the passage of oil tankers. 20% of the world’s oil passes through the Strait of Hormuz. I don’t think USA and Israel thought that Iran would control and disrupt the world oil market.
Trump said many times that he is close to a settlement with Iran. However, Israel did not agree to the terms of the deal and started attacking Lebanon, which was part of the deal as well. Trump was so mad that he used foul language against Netanyahu. I don’t know what will happen in a couple of weeks, but the world and especially we, the tax payers, are paying the price with the high cost of gasoline, not only for our cars, but for all transportation, including planes.
Trump ordered retaliatory strike launches at Iran after they struck down an Apache helicopter which was guarding Iranian ports. Trump previously said that the deal will be done in two or three days. After the new back and forth attacks, the deal will not happen. The war will continue.
There are five places called Essex County in the United States. I read in the news about 26 gang members being arrested for 5 murders and many crimes in Essex County. However, it was not our Essex County; it was in Massachusetts.
All states have primaries or caucuses in June to finalize the candidates for the November general election. New Jersey has party primaries and whoever wins for the party will complete against the other party’s candidate in the general election.
However, an Open Primary is different. No candidate can run for the party. It is open for all. The party affiliation does not go with their name. Party support is mentioned, but has no official bearing. In this type of primary the two highest vote getters will run in the general election. It could be two Democrats, two Republicans, or independents or another party. Or one from one party and another from another party.
The Los Angeles mayoral race was so tight that the second and third candidates were only known after one week of counting the votes. Reality star Spencer Pratt had the 2nd place spot on the night of the election, but a week later, Nithya Raman ended up in second place, and will face first-place winner, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass. I don’t know if it is a good system or not, but it is different. That said, it takes too much time to count the votes. In New Jersey, most of the time we know the result within a couple of hours.
World Cup Soccer (FIFA) will be hosted by three countries: USA, Canada and Mexico. There are 16 cities hosting the games, which will fun from June 11 to July 19, 2026. The price of tickets is skyrocketing as the fans are crazy to get them. The World Cup final will be held at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Soccer has been getting popular for the past three decades. However, since Lionel Messi, an all-time great soccer player, came to America, the game has become even more popular. The World Cup will bring the game to a different level, and it will compete with football, baseball and basketball in the USA.
