Hello Readers,

Who will lead Iran after the death of Ayatollah Khomeini by the combined attacks of Israel and the US? The news came across that the Ayatollah’s son Mojtaba will take over. He is not a religious scholar, but he is considered worse than Ayatollah Khomeini.

He was running things behind the scenes, so he had an idea on how to run the autocrat powered government. However, he must face a bad economy and raise money for the war. However, as per some news, the majority of Iranians may not be happy under his leadership.

Due to the Iran war and a partial government shutdown that left no money for the employees, there has been a shortage of TSA employees. This past weekend in the US, there were about 3 hour long security lines at many airports including Houston, New Orleans and others.

The long government shutdown may end soon, as the Republicans may try to force a speaking filibuster. On March 31, 2025, our Senator Cory Booker gave a record-breaking speech on the Senate floor for 25 hours and 5 minutes. In the same way the Democrats will have to act again. President Trump has already warned that if the SAVE America Act is not passed, he would not sign off on any bills. Senate Majority Leader John Thune has denied passing the SAVE America bill in the Senate, as he would have to shelve the filibuster, which would allow Democrats to do the same in the future. This brings no immediate solution, and the partial government shutdown might go longer.

According to NBC news: “The legislation, which would overhaul voting laws and require proof of citizenship nationwide to register to vote, faces an uphill battle in the Senate. Noncitizen voting is illegal and uncommon.”

Trump’s new H1B visa requirement says that any company that wants to hire from outside the country must pay $100,000. That will reduce the number of smart employees coming in from other countries. So, we must concentrate on our education system. We are amongst the five nations with the highest spending per student in education. Those are Luxembourg, the United States, Norway, Austria, and Switzerland. But when it comes to quality of education in 2026, the United States is 31st in the world while South Korea is the #1 ranked country in the world.

Montclair High School was shut down on Monday March 9, 2026 after a phone call from an unknown caller was received. The superintendent and the principal shut down the school “out of an abundance of caution.” The police department is investigating the unanimous caller.

In New York, Mayor Mamdani’s home at Gracie Mansion was under threat from an IED, which was placed during an anti-Muslim protest, which was met by a counterprotest. The men in question were arrested, and no one was hurt.

Have a wonderful week. I’ll talk to you next week.
