DID YOU KNOW….

Street photography is a style of photography that captures everyday life, people, and moments in public spaces — usually candid, unposed, and unfiltered.

It’s about documenting real life as it happens, telling stories through images without staging or controlling the scene. The subjects can be strangers, architecture, shadows, light, street art, or anything that reflects the energy and truth of a place.

Key traits of street photography:

  • Candidness – Natural, unstaged moments.

  • Storytelling – Images that hint at or reveal a narrative.

  • Public spaces – Streets, markets, buses, parks, events, etc.

  • Observation – A photographer’s ability to notice small, fleeting details.

  • Emotion & humanity – Expressions, gestures, and slices of life that connect viewers to the subject.

At its core, street photography is part art, part history, and part anthropology — freezing moments that might otherwise be forgotten.
