Whether it was Hop Scotch, Hide and Seek, Monkey In The Middle, Freeze Tag, Musical Chairs, Red Light Green Light, Chinese Jump Rope, Jacks, Double Dutch (with or without the McDonalds menu song), Spinning Tops, Wall Ball, Simon Says, Hand Games like Miss Mary Mack, Zing, Zing, Zing, Pat-A-Cake, Rockin Robin also Hopping over Toy Footsies. Playing Hula Hoops, Dodge Ball, Duck, Duck Goose or with a Bat and Ball it was competitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As \u201cChild\u2019s Play\u201d not only were a lot of these games played a great way to wear off energy and to keep us kids occupied, but more importantly they were also quite pivotal in our developing the critical thinking and skill sets needed which enabled us to navigate through life as we stumbled into becoming adults.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I loved and benefited from them all and I want us all too. So feel free to take this list and jumpstart or do em\u2019 again and make disciples while you\u2019re at it. We will all be all the better for it, trust me. Come with me and take this skip back into memory lane in this mirror, mirror moment. Enjoy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CHILD\u2019S PLAY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When one of my girls stood on the opposite end of that street as our pretend mother, by a long slide, I\u2019d mosey in their company, leaving my opponents behind. If one of my sisters held that spot, forget about it! But if the person up there had a show of attitude, connected to the hand on hip and in their eyes the look of revenge, that position then belonged to one my foes, and I knew my little scraggly behind wasn\u2019t gonna get far . . .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MOTHER MAY I
<\/strong>\u00a0
\u201cYou may take three medium steps.\u201d
\u201cMother may I?\u201d I\u2019d ask.
\u201cNo, you may not,\u201d they\u2019d say.
That was the scheme of things when a rival was in charge. Giant
steps, leaps, and hops were unheard of, and, if allowed an occasional
baby step or two, I\u2019d be asked to take two steps back the next time
around. Naturally, I preferred the person on the opposite side to be
the one in my corner when we played the game. When analyzing,
comprehending, the rules of something as simplistic as child\u2019s play,
it seems logical that one would also befriend Source and Nature. In our game, we
were privileged by association, but in the game of life, it\u2019s said that
there are no favorites.
If some of the other players have bought into the myth that fair is all
there is, I say beg to differ: that way, if your good family name doesn\u2019t
strike up the least bit of familiarity, you won\u2019t be banking on playing on
her sympathy while sitting on that stoop, \u2018cause like some, you done
promised your cousin or somebody else that you\u2019ll stay, and she don\u2019t
know them, so you can\u2019t play!<\/p>\n\n\n\n


When you start to notice the ones out there in that street, dodging
those balls, cars and\/ or obstacles, which are granted permission to advance, you too had better get in cahoots with mother! Because if you look up and you see she\u2019s giving attitude, you may have provoked her fury. If lucky, you might be
granted a few baby steps because of her generosity or her pity, but when
taking that glance back, you\u2019ll realize that you ain\u2019t move.
Yet, if certain always to remember your good manners by asking
permission, and she looks down and smiles on you, with leaps, hops,
and giant steps you\u2019ll get to advance. You best believe that it won\u2019t be too
long before you\u2019ll be right there in her company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Self-Reflection<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Simply put, self-reflection (also known as \u201cpersonal reflection\u201d) is taking the time to think about, meditate on, evaluate, and give serious thought to your behaviors, thoughts, attitudes, motivations, and desires. Wikipedia<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Observation Booth is utilized as a space for Andrea Dialect to stumble through, which aids in life and brand development. It can also be used by readers, subjects, and features to assist or advance our world or their own. It is a peek into one’s world from the outside. It is also for the development of content.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everything printed here is in draft form; thus, error is welcomed and to be expected. Everything is constantly evolving, is her mantra. Seeing the work in printed format is the initial step and is quite valuable and therapeutic for developing all forms.
