The Lincoln Statue is located at the intersection of Springfield Avenue and West Market Street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Participants in the press conference included grassroots leaders, activists and representatives of civil rights organizations. Lawrence Hamm, Chairman, People\u2019s Organization For Progress spoke at the press conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe are calling this press conference to condemn the most recent racist, heinous, and murderous attack in Buffalo. All over this country black people are being targeted, hunted, and killed by white racist domestic terrorists.\u201d Hamm stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe demand to know what the government is going to do about it. What plans have been made, what agencies have been mobilized, what funds and resources have been allocated, what personnel are being deployed, and what action is being taken to stop these white supremacist and racist attacks on black people and others in this state and the nation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIn addition, the governor is urged to immediately convene a State conference on racist domestic terrorism and hate crimes.
